Coastwatchers Deployed to New Britain in WWII

The Coastwatchers listed below served on New Britain and neighbouring islands New Ireland, Emirau, Nissan, Tabar and Anir. Coastwatcher ranks are omitted as in the enemy-occupied jungle all members were at equal risk of capture and death.

Sadly, 13 of the 84 coastwatchers (15% of those listed) were killed by the Japanese (marked KIA).
